Two posts in a row? What is wrong with me? Anyway, this is perfect. PERFECT, I say! I had to share. I can’t wait. (Thanks for the link, Chris.)

Let’s take a moment for me to make fun of myself. OK? Let’s go!
Mommy Blogger pats herself on the back for her beautiful row of hydrangea bushes, heavy with electric blue blossoms (though the credit for the bushes most certainly belongs to the phenomenon of climate change).
Real Mommy spent so much time fussing with garden paths and repotting a gardenia, she allowed the monument to laundry to be built on her bed.
Mommy Blogger gets her kids to cheerfully help clean off the outdoor table for a fun picnic outside on the nice, clean deck!
Real Mommy cannot get her children to take responsibility for their own space, so they destroy their playroom in mere hours. (Yes, they even tore the curtains off the walls.)
Mommy Blogger would like to end things on a nice, pretty note: Mother’s Day flowers (and Spider Man!).

Welcome to my updated blog! I have been meaning to switch over to WordPress for a while, but it took a few weeks of injured hands to spur me to do it. An allergic reaction about a month ago blistered the skin on my hands and made them pretty unusable for pottery. So I took that as an opportunity to end the WordPress procrastination. I’d never laid eyes upon CSS code before this, so I was quite intimidated. I managed to make the site look mostly the way I had planned, but please let me know if something looks funky or out of place.
I will be keeping the old Typepad blogs (My Land and the old Amelia Studio) up until I can get them converted into books. Then they will go away. So if you know of any recipes or links you want from there, get them while you can! If you read my blog on a feed reader, I think you will also have to update the feed.
Anyway, thank you for stopping by. I’m going to try to make blogging more of a priority again. It’s so easy to shoot out a Facebook update or a tweet, and it actually takes whole minutes to compose a blog post, but I do miss having a real blog that acts as a scrapbook, journal and family photo album all rolled into one. I’ll try to do better for you, amelia studio 2.0.
